As a vendor you can choose from a 10' x 10' booth for $60, or an 8' table (table provided) for $40. By signing up for a booth or table you are also welcome to enter your fashion designs into the jury selection for the Fashion Show. However, if you are only interested in showing off your designs on the runway, you can submit an application exclusively for the fashion show ($30 entry fee).

The time is finally here...the 2nd Annual DIY Factory is currently accepting applications for indie arts and crafts vendors as well as fashion designers. Last year's event was great, but this year is going to be even better! ATTENTION VENDORS

Hi there all! I just wanted to spread the word about an event that will be taking place on November 15th 2008. It will be the 2nd Annual DIY Factory!! We will have applications up real soon (possibly the end of today or Monday next week!) for Vendors and just wanted to let you all know. Mijita Linda!

Hello all! It has been one interesting 2 months for me! But nothing I cant handle!

I just wanted to spread the word on an AWESOME etsy shop! Her name is Erika and she is a old, old friend of mine. Go check it out! The shops name is Mijita Linda and I must say she has some cool paintings on there I personally love the Howard the Duck one since that movie was my time and I watched it a hundred times when I was a kid! I also just recently found it on VHS at a local thrift shop.

As for anything else I have been sewing but I have also been slacking on taking some pictures! I will try and do that this weekend since I have to stay out of this 105 heat! Damn it is HOT!!

Friday July 18th!

Hi all! If any one is wondering what to do Friday night and is also in the San Antonio area, try and make it out to the DIY Factory Fundraiser event that will be held at the farm. There will be a silent auction and a raffle.

I have donated a skirt and a pair of bobby pin hair clips for the raffle. The skirt is really cute! It is a sheer type material with different mini retro birdhouses on it and with a blue band and a cute pink trim on the bottom I am really proud of it, I have to take pictures and I will post them tomorrow.

Art and Raffle Submissions Requested.

We're getting ready to do the 2nd Annual DIY Factory in November. Remember? Last year there were over 30 alternative arts and crafts vendors, a fashion show, lots of local musicians and even a Make-n-Take table for the kiddos. We want to make it even better this year and we need your help!
We're having a fundraiser on July 18th at The FARM (311 Howard, San Antonio, TX). If you enjoyed yourself at last year's event, want to get involved this year, or just want to be a good friend, will you please consider donating a piece of art for our silent auction? If you or someone you know owns a business, we're also hosting a raffle to include handmade items and gift certificates. For your donation, you'll receive 2 tickets to this year's event in November, great exposure of your artwork or business on our website, plus a whole lotta love from the planning committee.
If you're interested, please let us know a.s.a.p. The deadline for your name to be included on the invitation is JUNE 30th! All art and gift certificate submissions need to be received by JULY 11th.

Musicians needed for the 2nd Annual DIY Factory

The 2nd Annual D. I. Y. Factory is currently seeking bands to fill 4 of 5 spots for Saturday, November 15th.
Interested bands must be:
1. From San Antonio or the immediately surrounding area.
2. Unsigned or on an indie/DIY label
3. Able to perform a 45 minute set the evening of November 15th
4.Willing to play in exchange for:Drink VouchersBand name and/or logo on all printed/electronic promotional materialLots of love from the planning crew (sorry we can't pay ya')!
There will be a sound man and P.A. provided, however, each band will be responsible for bringing their own personal amps and equipment the night of the show.
We are looking for music from all genres. Last year we had 7 bands from all sides of the musical spectrum, and over 550 guests in attendance.
This is a great way to support your local arts/music/fashion scene and get the exposure you have been looking for!

If so, send us a message with a link to your myspace page or website by JUNE 30th. You will need to have some demo tracks uploaded for us to review. The DIY Factory planning crew will be reviewing submissions and let everyone know by mid July.
