So I have picked a few fabrics to start sewing with this week, I have a goal and I plan on taking pictures and putting them on etsy this weekend! I hope I can do it! Here are the ones I have picked...

This Friday 6/10/11

I suck at blogs! Well keeping up with it, I have been busy this year. But I am getting things back on track; I have made a lot more items (that I will be posting this weekend).

I have also started on a new venture. Me and a friend Melissa Ozuna started making Teepees for kids (and soon adults). They are cool and we have been getting a very good response from all over! We will be making our debut this Friday at the Etsy Craft Party at the DIY Factory! We also started a blog! www.littlefootteepees.blogspot.com

This Weekend

Okay so my stuff went to Lone Star Round Up a few weeks ago and I sold 3 skirts and some accessories, made my money back on the booth and a small profit! I was happy with that. Now my stuff is going to the 3rd Annual Burnout in Houston this weekend! I hope I do great or about the same. I am trying very hard to make lots more skirts to add to my inventory but it looks like I am only going to get about 5.

I wish I was going but I have important things going on here in San Antonio like our 3rd year walking in the Koman Race for the Cure! WE have a total of 60 people on our team most are Familia! My mom is on her 3rd year from recovering from Breast Cancer. If you are reading this and would like to make a donation to our team please click here! We are very excited and we have some even cooler shirts to walk in! My great friend Melissa and her husband Chanse have a screen printing business and well their work is AWESOME. I will post a picture on Monday of our shirts but I can post a picture of our logo.

I woke up bright and early and went to my friend Missy’s house and dropped off my items for the Lone Star Round Up. We have been vending at this show for about 3 years or is it 4? I hope I sell a lot and people like my items; I made some new hair accessories with cover buttons. I really like them and I hope other people do too! So if you are in Austin this weekend go to the Lone Star Roundup! Wish I could be there but have commitments here in SA this weekend.

I also plan on making 5 skirts this weekend for our next show on May 15th! We just started another blog so go check it out! The DIY Dolls!

I still LOVE ETSY!

So I had my first bad experience on Etsy, I have been using etsy for hmm 2-3 years already and I will continue to shop and sell on etsy! First off there is a bad seller on etsy called PeppermintSoda, I have bought from her before and it was a nice experience but unfortunalty this time around I was jipped! And I was not the only one, I left negative feedback I emailed them, I sent them an email thru PayPal and still nothing like they just disappeared! But other buyers were buying from them everyday. I had a buyer contact me and she told me she has been talking to etsy support and I have been too and I don’t know how many other sellers contacted them but the next day they were not allowed to sale. I am still in the process of getting my $$ back but I still haven’t so people when you buy from etsy PLEASE look at their feedback even if you have to go thru pages of feedback! I have linked their shop and you can see all the feedback that they have now.

I had another first last week when someone bought a pair of frog earrings and they didn’t pay or anything I contacted them and still no response so I am going to cancel the sale but I went to their profile and saw a lot of negative feedback the strange thing is that they just wanted frog items! Weird!

Geez!

Okay so call me a slacker! Because I have totally neglected my blog! I am going to stay on top of it starting now! LOL well I won’t make any promises, so far this year has been okay. I sold 4 skirts on Etsy but I also had some trouble from a seller on Etsy (I will post about that one later). But Etsy has been good to me. I am sewing some new stuff and making some more earrings and hair clips. I am doing a bunch of car shows here in Texas with a group of awesome girls! The DIY Dolls just started a blog that lists all of our upcoming shows. So check it out! I will be posting pictures this weekend of some of my new items.

I'm Back!

Hello all! I am starting to get back in the swing of things and I plan on posting a lot more! My AWESOME Friend Erika made my banner and some new business card logos for my business. I am ready for a fresh start and I am excited! Erika is the best, check out her shop on Etsy http://www.erikabuentello.etsy.com/ She has some awesome paintings and other neato items.

Right now I am getting ready for Halloween I am making our costumes and they are going to be cool (I hope) I will post some pictures soon!! I am trying to sew up some new items for my shop and since winter is upon us I have some ideas for scarves so we will see how that works out. I am also planning on making some more earrings. I want to hurry and get some stuff up for the Christmas shoppers.

New Everything!

I know it has been a while since I have blogged but I have been busy getting used to my new life with little Erek! So far it is great, he is such a good little boy. Last week I have decided that I am going to change my etsy page. Revamp it with a new logo and slogan. My very good friend and great artist is working on something and I cant wait to see it! My shop name is now Sarita Ann, short and simple. This weekend I have also reorganized my sewing area so I am ready to start some new projects!

More New Skirts

I posted 4 new skirts today on etsy! woohoo my goal is complete. I was hoping I would do this today, now my new goal is to sew 4 more skirts my next friday. geez that is a big goal but I think I will follow thru if not 4 hopefully 2.

New Etsy Skirts

I posted 2 brand new skirts yesterday on Etsy, they are cute and comfy. I had fun making them, I still have 4 more to post today but I have to iron them and we will have to see how that plays out I might just post one, depending on Erek. Also I took new pictures of some other skirts and reactivated them (they were expired) I am hoping to have my shop cleaned up, I also need to make a new banner I have to try and find that etsy site where they have a banner generator. does anyone out there know the link??

Gallbladders Suck!

So this week was a bit of a challenge! I hate when things happen to me unexpectedly, but i guess that wouldn't be life. Well Monday night when i was feeding my son and watching dancing with the stars (yes i like that show!) i had some excruciating pain, it was like labor all over again! well my husband told me i need to go to the hospital but i wasn't having that but i finally went and low and behold my gallbladder was infected! what the hell! first time having surgery and it was scary so i was in the hospital for 3 days and 2 nights away from my little Erek! he has been on formula for 4 days and i hate it. I will resume my regular feeding today, i have been pumping and dumping (you moms know what that means) anyhoot yesterday i sold 3 skirts to a girl in canada so that was really exciting made my week better! and now i have to go mail them today. I will be posting some more next week, i have like 5 new skirts ready to post! my etsy shop's inventory is getting a little low. now i have to think of some moms day gifts that will be easy to make without spending money! i think i will to to the crafy chicas website she always has cool ideas.

New Socks

I have to complain about something and I know it is not target's fault, but I bought my son the cutest socks! They are super cute, but I got jipped! I don't know what I was thinking but I opened them up after he was born (I bought them when I was about 5 months pregnant) anyhoot I had no receipt so I am pretty much stuck with them. Okay so here is the issue they were a pack of 4 socks that looked like little converse, well low and behold there were technically only 3 pairs and one was a green sock and yellow sock! no green pair! that sucks! I like the green pair they are cool, and now I cant even find them at target they are always sold out. oh well

It has been quite some time that I have not blogged! I have been extremely busy preparing for our little guy who will be here in about 5 weeks. His name is Erek Luciano Abate. We are happy and nervous (especially me!).

On January 31st, my friends and family threw me a baby shower and it was a blast! Everyone decorated a onsie or a fabric panel for a quilt (that was fun) Melissa is going to sew up the quilt and I can’t wait to see it. We played the traditional games and handed out prizes, we had finger foods (really good spring rolls my aunt Sylvia made!) and the cake and cupcakes were made by Belinda, it was awesome!

Melissa also sewed some cool streamer flags that we hung all the onsies on (I hope my sister got a picture of that!) I thought I took several pictures but it was only 5! But luckily Krista took some and my sister did but she is still uploading. Here are a few! (See below)

I would like to thank my mom, my sister crystal, and Melissa! They are the best and really made the day awesome! And I can’t leave out Krista she helped out a lot! Thank you!

~HOLIDAYS~

Hello all! I just want to spread some holiday cheer to everyone! I hope you all have a great and safe Christmas. I will be on vacation all next week, so I will be MIA on etsy. I will be putting my shop on vacation mode. I really like that feature, glad they added it! This New Year is going to be full of changes but I am ready for it and anticipating it. I and Darrell will be expecting our baby boy (still working on the name! it is harder than we thought) in the next 13 weeks!! Man how time flies but we are ready!! We have it all planned and we have tons of family and friends support.

Merry Christmas and see you all in 2009! Hopefully I can get some spare time and post some more damn items on etsy or just clean house and take all new pics with my new camera!

The 2nd Annual DIY Factory!

Hi there! So I am fully recovered from this year DIY Factory! I didn’t have any time to take pictures! The free time I did have was either shopping or relaxing! I sure was tired that night but it as all worth it!
