Art and Raffle Submissions Requested.

We're getting ready to do the 2nd Annual DIY Factory in November. Remember? Last year there were over 30 alternative arts and crafts vendors, a fashion show, lots of local musicians and even a Make-n-Take table for the kiddos. We want to make it even better this year and we need your help!
We're having a fundraiser on July 18th at The FARM (311 Howard, San Antonio, TX). If you enjoyed yourself at last year's event, want to get involved this year, or just want to be a good friend, will you please consider donating a piece of art for our silent auction? If you or someone you know owns a business, we're also hosting a raffle to include handmade items and gift certificates. For your donation, you'll receive 2 tickets to this year's event in November, great exposure of your artwork or business on our website, plus a whole lotta love from the planning committee.
If you're interested, please let us know a.s.a.p. The deadline for your name to be included on the invitation is JUNE 30th! All art and gift certificate submissions need to be received by JULY 11th.

Musicians needed for the 2nd Annual DIY Factory

The 2nd Annual D. I. Y. Factory is currently seeking bands to fill 4 of 5 spots for Saturday, November 15th.
Interested bands must be:
1. From San Antonio or the immediately surrounding area.
2. Unsigned or on an indie/DIY label
3. Able to perform a 45 minute set the evening of November 15th
4.Willing to play in exchange for:Drink VouchersBand name and/or logo on all printed/electronic promotional materialLots of love from the planning crew (sorry we can't pay ya')!
There will be a sound man and P.A. provided, however, each band will be responsible for bringing their own personal amps and equipment the night of the show.
We are looking for music from all genres. Last year we had 7 bands from all sides of the musical spectrum, and over 550 guests in attendance.
This is a great way to support your local arts/music/fashion scene and get the exposure you have been looking for!

If so, send us a message with a link to your myspace page or website by JUNE 30th. You will need to have some demo tracks uploaded for us to review. The DIY Factory planning crew will be reviewing submissions and let everyone know by mid July.

Hello All! I just posted a skirt on Etsy this morning and it is titled the 80’s Polka Dot skirt! I couldn’t come up with anything better.

I am going to be updating my shop this week with new pictures and I will be posting another new item tomorrow. I also wanted to share a skirt that I made for my niece and she loved it! Maybe I will make a new line of girl skirts?

maybe I have so many ideas and things that I want to do right now! I have to prioritize! I have also been working on dog harnesses and I just got in the D rings for those, so that might be my weekend project. My dogs will be the testers! ha

Bandera Camping Trip

So I had a nice little mini vacation last month, and it was a blast! We went camping for 2 nights and 3 days. I love to camp! This is something I do besides sewing and crafting but I am sure if I could I would have taken something with me out there! ha I will be going out there again before the summer is over. I just hope it rains soon! So the water will be at a little higher level. It hasn’t rained here in San Antonio for quite some time! okay I am outta here and stay tuned for more posts of Etsy finds and stuff that I post at Custom Made by Sarita!

A Month

WOW it has been a month since i have been on here, i have been busy this month! lots of things going on. I will be posting some stuff on my etsy page next week and i will be on vacation again! I have been on etsy alot this week finding some more stuff i want o buy! i am addicted to ETSY!! I also sold 3 pairs of earrings this week and i hope they enjoy them.
